This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, share, and protect your information when you use the Ai Car Fix mobile application, this website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Capitalized terms have the meanings assigned to them in this Policy.
When you create an Account or use the Service, we may collect: first name and last name (e.g. from Apple or Google sign-in, or if you enter them); email address; optional profile details you provide (e.g. display name, preferences).
To provide scanning, VIN, garage, and AI-assisted features, we may collect: photos you submit for AI analysis; scan history and results; vehicles and related data in your garage; reminders you configure; AI mechanic conversations; notes or labels you add. You choose what to provide; some features require submitting relevant images or identifiers (e.g. VIN where applicable).
If you grant permission, we may collect your approximate or precise location. You can revoke location access in your device or in-app settings at any time.
User Content includes images and text you upload for AI-powered features. We may use anonymized or aggregated images or outputs to improve our AI models. When used for product improvement, such data is not associated with your identity.
We automatically collect: device type, operating system, and app version; IP address; timestamps and activity logs; crash and error reports; feature usage and analytics; session information. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.
The Website may use cookies, tags, and similar technologies for analytics, functionality, and security. The Application may use mobile identifiers for analytics and performance, in line with this Policy.
We use data to: provide and improve the Service (AI-assisted part identification, scans, VIN-related features, garage, AI mechanic chat, account management); improve AI and recognition (anonymized or aggregated); communicate with you about updates and support; optionally for marketing if you opt in; comply with legal and security requirements; and in connection with business transfers as permitted by law. We do not sell your Personal Data to third parties.
Where GDPR applies, we rely on consent, contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.
We may share Personal Data with: service providers (hosting, analytics, AI services, email, subscriptions) under contracts; as part of business transfers; with authorities when required by law; with your consent; or as aggregated/anonymized data. We do not sell your Personal Data.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, process, and improve the Service and AI models. We do not publicly display your photos without your consent. Content may be used in anonymized form to improve our AI.
Parts of the Service use Google Gemini, Google’s generative-AI technology, to process images and text you submit—for example part identification from photos, vehicle-related estimates, summaries, and the AI mechanic chat. When you use those features, relevant content may be sent to Google’s systems for processing in line with Google’s policies for its AI services.
Gemini can be wrong. Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific vehicle, region, or situation. They are provided for informational purposes only and must not be treated as professional diagnosis, repair instructions, or safety-critical guidance. You are solely responsible for checking any AI output before you rely on it (including before driving, repairing, or purchasing parts). Nothing in the Service replaces hands-on inspection or advice from a qualified automotive professional.
We retain Personal Data for as long as your Account is active or as needed; Vehicle & Scan Data until you delete it or your Account; Usage Data for a limited period. We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed unless legally required to keep it.
Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers outside your country. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

We use encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service may contain links to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
